We impact the lives of others

In 2014, we launched ReGeneration to give young graduates a real chance to build careers in Greece. We set out to expand access to opportunity, strengthen social mobility, and support a new generation of professionals ready to shape a more inclusive future. From the start, we chose to operate as a non-profit—focused not on profit, but on long-term impact. ReGeneration was built by and for underrepresented talent. Our mission is to make career paths fairer, faster, and more accessible for all—by offering skills, support, and a strong community to help graduates succeed on their own terms.

Progress grows when opportunity is shared

ReGeneration tackles some of Greece’s biggest challenges: youth unemployment, underemployment, brain drain, and the skills gap.  We operate as a cross-sector, education-to-employment ecosystem. Our programs connect the supply of untapped graduate talent with real demand in the job market.  We help graduates overcome key barriers—like lack of experience, limited access to networks, and unequal hiring practices. Through training, career support, and access to job placements, we give young people the tools to succeed on merit.  We’ve built a trusted network of thousands of employers who believe in inclusive hiring and long-term impact. And while the results are real, our work is far from over.

Looking ahead

The world of work is changing fast. Greece is at a turning point, and so is  ReGeneration. Our goal is to equip young people not just for today’s job market, but for what’s coming next. That means preparing them for growth in both traditional sectors—like retail, energy, and shipping—and emerging ones like AI, cloud computing, and cybersecurity. To meet this challenge, we’re expanding our work across three key areas:

I) Future of Work

Automation and AI are reshaping how we work. That brings opportunity, but also risk—especially for countries like Greece still adapting to rapid change. ReGeneration is building programs to close the skills gap before it widens.  We’re also deepening partnerships with companies to create tailored upskilling and hiring pathways for young professionals.

II) Future of Learning

Learning doesn’t end at graduation. We’re helping young people build the mindset and skills for lifelong growth. Our model combines online and in-person training, hard and soft skills, and hands-on learning that prepares graduates for real roles. We’re also investing in access—scaling programs to reach underserved regions, expanding digital learning, and launching an inclusion initiative to support graduates with disabilities nationwide.

 III) The Gig Economy

The way people work is changing. Remote roles, freelancing, and project-based jobs are now a core part of the global economy. At ReGeneration, we see the gig economy as a chance—not a threat. It can help keep Greek talent in Greece, even while working for global companies. Since 2014, we’ve partnered with employers based in Greece. Now, we’re also preparing young professionals for remote and freelance opportunities across borders. Our goal is to upskill them so they can access high-demand digital roles—without needing to relocate. This shift supports the local economy too. When talent stays rooted in Greece, it strengthens the country’s innovation ecosystem, from startups to SMEs. We’re also exploring ways to connect with the Greek diaspora. That includes ideas like gap-year internships in Greece, peer mentoring from abroad, and virtual communities that help young professionals navigate global careers while staying connected to home.  By investing in brain circulation—not just fighting brain drain—we aim to unlock a new era of opportunity, mobility, and impact.
